Better late than never. I threw away a lot of ideas and false starts before I got to this final painting, so I had to share. I rather like it!
 

It's a poppy year!

A lot of rain means a lot of poppies. My creativity exercises have drifted away from paper and into the outdoors. More hikes into the hills. More dancing and silliness with my children. Exploring science expos and demonstrations - building with toothpicks and marshmallows, even holding a hissing cockroach! My artwork has suffered, but my life has been enriched. We love the sunshine, but celebrate the rain, enjoying the flowers it brings and even the designs it carves in the ground as it leaves.
